Kevin McHugh
Director / Counselor
Kevin has been a certified instructor in Hamden since 1993, a certified master instructor since 2000 and became the Franchisee of the Hamden studio in 2008. Prior to Ballroom, he worked professionally in musical theatre for 12 years. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a double major in Theatre and Voice. Past endeavors include serving as soloist for the Starlight Swing Orchestra, singing jingles for HBO, and choreographing for VH1. Kevin can also be found teaching and coaching collegiate ballroom teams and judging college competitions.
Christopher Blotney
Specialist / Teacher
In addition to dancing Christopher enjoys participating in many other sports. Softball, swimming, rollerblading and skim boarding to name a few. He has taught swimming, is certified in CPR, and has also worked as a lifeguard. Besides being a sports enthusiast, he also plays the trumpet. Christopher joined Arthur Murray Hamden in 2010 and can also be seen on the Professional Competition dance floor.
Maya Kuzma
Specialist / Teacher
Maya has been dancing and performing since the age of 7. With a background in Ukrainian folk dance and ballet, she also has experience as an actress, singer and instrumentalist. Maya’s curiosity for the arts brought her to ballroom dancing, where she has claimed top junior awards and finalist titles in latin and rhythm. She shares her passion for dance with her students, inspiring them to enjoy life through movement. Outside the studio, Maya plays the cello and performs on the national instrument of Ukraine, the bandura. Maya Joined the Arthur Murray Hamden Team in 2024.
Camilla Cazagrande
Specialist / Teacher
Camilla has been working for Arthur Murray Dance Studios since 2012. She has had the experience of teaching in several studios in the state. If there is music playing, be certain that you can find her on the dance floor. She loves going to showcases, events, Dance-O-Rama, and has placed in several of them with students and professional partners. Right now you can find her having late night practices and getting ready for the competition floor with her professional partner, Christopher. Camilla joined the Arthur Murray Hamden team in 2021.
