About Arthur Murray Hamden...

The Greater New Haven Arthur Murray opened their doors in downtown New Haven in 1940. Then after nearly two decades, in 1984 they relocated to 2838 Old Dixwell Ave, Hamden where we are still located today! Our location was remodeled specifically as a dance studio and we even won the coveted "Outstanding Facility Award" by Arthur Murray International.

At Arthur Murray, you're not just coming for dance lessons, you're coming to be a part of a community. That includes formal balls, exhibitions, performance events, and dinner dances. Often these events are held with other Arthur Murray studios!

Something unique to our studio is our dance vacations we take with our students! Some of our most recent trips include Argentina, Italy and New York City.
